Hello everyone, welcome to my website!! I hope that you find everything here, intriguing and fascinating. My name is Matthew Maness and I was born in Pusan, South Korea, however I have lived right here in Bethesda, MD for my whole life. In 2017, I graduated high school at Walt Whitman, and began work soon after for my gap year. Fall of 2018, I will study Criminal Law/Law Enforcement and Musical Theory at MC and later transfer to UMD to finish my degree.
Every short story has a beginning. Mine starts at boarding school. In a small town called Rumney, in New Hampshire, sat a private school where I began guitar. This was 7th grade. A lot of people played the guitar there and I had an aptitude to do so, so I thought why not? To make a long story short, I play guitar now!! Bach to Rock, Bethesda has been my playground for some time now and I have learned many ethical lessons, but in 2016, I decided to split, and go solo. Throughout these years, and many to come, I have played at many venues with bands, and solo including, Hard Rock Café DC, The Fillmore, Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club, Nursing Homes, DC's Politics and Prose, and competed in Battle of the Bands. I can't wait to see what's next!!
